For those of you who are familiar with Tom Clarks creations, I am sure you are well aware that the vast majority of his sculptures are gnomes. I found a beautiful work of art by Tom Clark. It is his rendition of Hattie McDAniel as Beulah from Gone with the Wind I have her Beau Remus as well. The rights to Uncle Remus were bought by Disney and he was later in a movie Song of the South. See other listing for Remus. They originally sold for $205.00 each. I do not have a value guide for Tom Clark's work but I would guess their value is well more than their issue price. The first I am listing is Hattie. She was Scarlet O'Hara's Mammy on Gone with the wind. This piece is huge compared to most of his pieces. She is 9" tall with a diameter of 6-1/2" she weighs in at a hefty 4lbs. 4 oz. Before packing. Tom Clarks treasures are made of crushed pecan shells and various other sculpting mediums to give this look of wood carved beauty. I have added a picture of Hattie in the movie so that you can see the amazing likeness. She also has indiglo eyes for more realism. Thank you, Peg PLEASE BROWSE MY STORE.
