Lovely, vintage Bisque Relief Porcelain & Sage Green Jasperware plaque. It is 7" in diameter and free of any chips or cracks. Absolutely beautiful and ready to hang. The white relief image features a fairy with a playful cherub on her knees (the cherub has arrows attached to his back...so possibly Cupid with Psyche). The detail is wonderful (the cherub's head is very raised 3-D). There is a border wreath of what looks like wheat and berries. While many associate Jasperware with Wedgwood, this particular style is indicative of SCHAFER VATER (Germany). Please look at the photos as they accurately reflect the immaculate condition.
