Schrade USA Old Carbon Steel Hunter Delrin stag Handles!!! SCHRADE U.S.A. 498 OLD Hunting Knife. 9 1/2" overall. 5 1/8" carbon steel blade with thumb grip. Delrin stag handles... with finger groves. Brass guard and pommel. Genuine leather belt sheath. NEW!!! We were digging through a box of knives that we purchased after the Schrade factory closed, and found this knife... The knife came directly from the Schrade factory, and is in NEW condition. I have no clue on this one??? I found some references to a 498L that was made in the 70's, but I couldn't find anything on this knife??? The knife is NEW... Never used, or sharpened, but does not come in a box, or with the original sheath. The knife does come with a SCHRADE genuine leather sheath that fits the knife perfectly!!! It is a very old... very rare carbon steel knife, that would make a great addition to anyone's collection. Imperial Schrade closed their doors July 30, 2004, after 100 years of business. These knives are very unique, making them extremely collectable. T will be no more original Schrade knives produced. Get a piece of Schrade history while you can . These knives are sure to go up in value sense the manufacturer ( Schrade Imperial ) has closed t doors after over 100 years.
