Beautiful German Schreiber bassoon (possibly late 1960’sproduction?), full warm tone, much nicer than the current crop of Chineseimports costing in excess of £800 new - sadly I’m no longer able to play and would much rather somebody get full use of such a lovely instrument rather than it sitting in it’s case gathering dust. Saw me through ABRSM Gd8 and performing diplomas so a good quality instrument. In good condition with the usual minor dings/scrapes/tarnishing that an instrument of this vintage accrues (see photos). Comes complete with hard case, which I’m afraid is a little tatty but is solid, I will however include a new De-Luxe fluffy lined cordura nylon outer cover which has two external pockets (for music etc) hand strap & shoulder strap. (Cost £50 – brand new virtually unused). Also included are the following:- · Two crooks – one I think is the original which has a slight ding near the cork end – the other is a new one virtually unused · a selection of reeds (soft & medium) (worth £50 plus) · a rather nice wooden Wiseman of London reed case that holds 9 reeds (cost £35 – brand new virtually unused) · silk swab (cost £12 - brand new virtually unused) · 2 mops (cost £22.95 – brand new virtually unused) · Leather neck strap (cost £22 – brand new virtually unused) · Various accessories (cork grease, spare cork, reed rush, read more
