Schuco (?) Wind-up Circus Monkey on Tricycle Welcome to this auction of a classic German toy ..... Up for auction is a vintage tin wind-up toy of a circus monkey riding a tricycle. It is possibly made by Schuco. The bottom is stamped"Made in Germany US Zone." "Foreign Germany," and patent information. The key may not be original to the toy, but does fit and wind the mechanism. The legs move up and down and front wheel steers. The paint is in very good condition with just a little wear. The Monkey's ears flap. I could not get the toy to work consistently, but feel with tinkering it could be functional. It appears to be from the 40's or 50's.
