Schumann Arzberg (Kauffmann Vienna) Decorative Porcelain Cabinet Plate A very attractive, good quality, vintage printed porcelain cabinet plate, the ivory ground with gilded rose swags, scrolls and anthemion patterns over dark green and burgandy/claret panels, with a colourful figural (cupid and ladies) centre, in the style of Angelica Kauffmann. The backstamps are a green & yellow 'Bavaria' cartouche over a green 'Bavaria Schumann Arzberg Germany' crowned shield with lion mark (est c.1940's-50's-60's), and a further beehive/shield mark with 'Adler' in gilt. The beehive mark was used to associate the quality with the old Vienna Porcelain originals of the 18th and 19th centuries, and was added by some 20thC factories and decorators. It is in excellent cabinet condition. Dia: 7.5 ins, 19.5 cms. Thank you for viewing all of our items and feedback on ebay.
