This is a shiny, nicely-preserved example of an early-production used, fully-reconditioned and rebuilt Huret-made Schwinn Sting-Ray speedometer head in full working order, a great finishing touch for your Sting-Ray or Krate. This dates from the late 1960s into the early 1970s, and has had a complete rebuild, freshly lubricated, polished, waxed and reassembled, turning freely and ready to go. The speedometer head is 2 3/8" wide, 2¼" high and 1 5/8" deep. It has a polished chrome rim, glass face, and chrome housing, with white numbers on a black dial, and an orange pointer. The finish is very good: all chrome has been polished to restore the shine, and then waxed to keep it that way. The head of the mounting clamp carriage bolt was very dark from age, and has been touched up with silver. There is no accumulated mileage; it's just passing 0000. 1.
