Scientific Brass stand column Beautiful engineering --- purpose originally Bunsen or I think something far more exotic ?This stand combines ornament with function and is also a bit of a mystery item . It is solid all the way up to the top and has two apertures both threaded and in vgc . It has a square base 60mm square ( 4 fixing holes original ) with a tapered column approx. 20 – 15 mm diameter to the top . Possibly a very elaborate Bunsen stand ?Anyway it is ornamental outside the scientific realm with its light house / classical look and the base is very stable . An impressive piece of manufacture in highest quality brass.heavy item 750 grams
