SCOTTISH - THE BLACK WATCH OFFICERS / PIPERS KC & SCROLLS GLENGARRY BADGE Large Black Watch Officers / Pipe Major Kings Crown with scrolls two part glengarry badge to The Black Watch, The Royal Highland Regiment of the British Army. The badge is in silver metal and gilt / brass, and was worn by Commissioned Officers and Pipe Major of The Black Watch in the glengarry only. It depicts the central figure of Saint Andrew, Patron Saint of Scotland, and the saltire cross in plated silver metal, within a gilt oval circlet with the motto NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT on it. This is all within a thistle wreath with the Sphinx to the base and surmounted by the Kings Crown. To the top of the badge is the two part scroll THE ROYAL HIGHLANDERS and to the base is a two part scroll BLACK WATCH.All on a large star in plated silver. To the rear of this fantastic badge is the long pin and two retaining lugs. A fantastictic example of the badge worn by officers and pipe major of this famous highland regiment.
