Today I can offer up a really nice LARGE sized cast iron door stop / doorstop in the form of an adorable Scottish Terrier (Scottie). This one is quite heavy, and stands approximately 8 5/8 inches tall, and nearly 10 1/2 inches long from the tip of his nose to his tail. His black paint remains in really excellent condition, and in the few areas where it's chipped away all I can see is base metal, so I don't believe he's been re-painted. The mold seams are very tight, and the two halves are secured via one large slotted screw (which is mostly obscured by the thick black paint, but I've made not of it in red (it's to the left of the wording) on the close up photo. He has glass eyes also, which really accentuate his expression. There are no other markings extant in the metal that I can ascertain. I've priced him below other consummate examples I've seen sold on line, so hopefully he'll find a good home soon.
