This is a genuinely nice, old deeply carved black and cinnabar lacquer 9" diameter plate. The lacquer is layered on a bronze base with a cinnabar lacquer background supporting a deeply cut black floral motif. The floral design is repeated on the back rim with a solid black bottom. T are no markings of any kind and all the lacquer and carving are in excellent condition. I have not cleaned the plate because I did not want to disturb the patina so t is an accumulation of dust from over the years.
