Please check out my other listings Automatic (Also referred to as mechanical) watches do not have a battery, they are wound by movement of your wrist when you wear it. Here are some differences between Automatics and kinetics: 1) automatics do not need batteries, they are wound by movement, kinetics have a rechargeable battery and capacitor which is charged by movement. 2) kinetics hold charge for around 6 months on a full charge whereas automatics only 36 hours. 3) automatics can gain or lose 15-20 seconds a day whereas kinetics are much more accurate. 4) automatics have a sweeping seconds hand and kinetics have ticking. 5) kinetics are more expensive where cheapest autos are £70ish, cheapest kinetics are about twice that. The seiko guarantee is 2 years in UK or 1 year worldwide.
