A Saein (Shine) customised telecaster single coil and humbucker semi acoustic with Grover tuners. I love these guitars to play more than the venerable Gibson 335 and its various copies, as it has a more strat like balance both for on the strap gig stuff and bedroom playing sitting down. But it is more a semi acoustic in name than really being a hollow guitar; there is some chambering inside but not much of it and you can think of it pretty much like a solid electric with regards to feedback as it is probably only a tiny bit more internally resonant than a Strat or Les Paul. These come from Korea with a pair of stylish Artec humbuckers in the same classy satin annodised finish that everything on it has right down to the strap buttons... even the Grover tuners must be to special order to have this finish... unsurprisingly this model has a normal retail price of £350; and well deserves it too! My goal with this guitar is to give it more voices to sing with; okay it has two excellent humbuckers on board but with two the same it does leave you rather stuck in one gear tonally. If you play a lot of different styles or work in a covers band it can be important to flick from driven Gibson tones to more edgy clear classic rock sounds, and this gives both... in fact the mid pickup selection of both together is really its most trebly and read more
