You are bidding on a stunning vase by highly regarded potter Washington State potter Sequoia Miller. (It was featured in a 2006 âeoeWarren MacKenzie / Sequoia Miller exhibition at the June Fitzpatrick Gallery in Maine .) DESCRIPTION: This wonderfully conceived vase form has a gently squared bulbous body that stands on two three-sided feet. A thick black glaze is used to âeoeframeâe two elliptical gray speckled âeoecanvasesâe. The right side of each is decorated with a deftly applied botanic depiction with black stalks, leaves, and dappled brown and white flowers. The vase stands 6âe tall and measures 5âe at it widest. It is in mint condition- no chips, cracks or repairs- and is impressed with the potterâe(tm)s personal stamp. This is a no reserve auction. ABOUT SEQUOIA MILLER: Sequoia Miller began his Swimming Deer Pottery in Olympia , Washington in 1996. Since then he has established himself as a full-time studio potter, exhibiting his work and teaching workshops nationally. With time has come a great increase in both appreciation and demand for his deftly thrown and decorated pots.
