Set of 13 Silver Medallions with Nuggets, Alaska and Klondike Gold Rush, by Alaska Mint, Pre-Owned. These are highly collectible silver round medallions for various years between 1991 and 2003 produced by the Alaska Mint in Anchorage. Each medallion is one troy ounce, 0.999 fineness, and each also features a REAL GOLD NUGGET from Alaska. This lot can best be described in three sections, as shown in the accompanying photos: 1. Six silver medallions (with gold nuggets) from the Alaska Goldpanner series, 1991 to 1996. The Seal of the State of Alaska is featured on the other side of these medallions. 2. Two silver medallions (with gold nuggets) honoring the Klondike Gold Rush. One features the Gold Rush Centennial 1898-1998 and the other is a 1995 medallion featuring Klondike Mike and honoring Skagway, the Gateway to the Klondike. The other side of the Gold Rush medallion states "Discover the Klondike" and features miners climbing mountains to get there. The Seal of the State of Alaska is on the other side of the Skagway medallion. 3. Five silver medallions (with gold nuggets) honoring the Gold Rush Centennial in Alaska. These medallions include a Centennial silver round 1898-1998, an assay medallion 1897-1997, and three silver Goldpanner medallions from 2000, 2002 and 2003, all with gold nuggets.
