Lovely old-fashioned-style set of 6 soup bowls with double-handles, 6 saucers and 2 tureens (one lidded) in white bone-china with a red and gilt pattern. All pieces have gilt rims and handles. The soup bowls are unusual in that they have handles either side and stand on a neat footing (gilt rimmed). The tureens have double handles and footings to match the bowls and the domed lid (1 only) has a knop handle (intact). Makers marks: a peacock motif with 'Fine Bone china Made in England' in black on all items. We have been unable to identify this mark, so are unable to date them accurately. Dimensions: Soup bowls 4.25" diameter (excluding handles) X2" deep. saucers 5.5" diameter, tureens 8.5" diameter (excluding handles) x 4" deep. The lid (1 only) is dome-shaped and measures 7.25" diameter x 3" tall (including handle knop) Condition: Very good - no chips or damage, colours and gilding bright
