Here is a unique usage of Overprinted French Middle Congo stamps with the following: "CAMEROUNS Occupation Francaise" from the Cameroon Set issued in 1916-17 (Scott #130-146) . The stamps do not catalogue very much but the use of French Occupation Stamps posted and sent from Victoria, in the British Zone and canceled November 17, 1919 is quite unusual as rules were very early established that stamps, either British or French could only be used in their respective zones. (The British had but a small piece of territory in the South and used Nigerian Stamps with an appropriate cancel i.e." Victoria, under British Mandate". The French had obtained the larger section of the former German Colony. ) If the buyer is within the U.S., cost of Certified Mail will be $5.00. If sold over seas, the buyer can have the cover Airmailed & Registered for $16.00. Another possible direction would send the envelope by regular commercial Air-mail, no registration, no insurance. Cost would be $5.00.
