WELCOME please note...THIS IS FOR 4 SHEATHS ONLY...***CHISELS NOT INCLUDED***Hi...I make sheaths for the famous knife-maker, Mammoth Blades (that's the guy who makes the Survival Tool for the legendary SAS Soldier John 'Lofty' Wiseman / Trueways)....so you can be assured of their quality! You are viewing a set of 4 new hand-made leather sheaths which hold 1", 1.25", 1.5" and 2"-wide heavy timber framing chisels in brown leather with brass rivets and brown stitching. These sheaths are hand-made by myself from start to finish to my own design. The leather is top-grade 3.5mm "natural veg tanned full grain" to start with, which I then cut to shape and "wet-mould" to give the shape then "dye and finish" using high quality Fiebings liquids and then polish to bring a nice sheen to the leather. I use cap rivets to strengthen the sheaths and then double-hand-stitch using linen Wenzel thread. They are then given a generous coat of resolene to aid with water-proofing. Sorry about the dull pictures....no sunshine on the day of taking them...the sheaths look much nicer in reality! Due to the amount of work that goes into these and the fact that I have to borrow the chisels from a friend each time I make some, I will only be putting a few sets of these on ebay at a time...so grab them while you can! These take ages to make and I literally make these by hand....no machines involved whatsoever so if you're going to make an offer, please make it a sensible one....a very specialist set of sheaths for the discerning carpenter to keep the corner-stone tools of his trade safe and protected! Dimensions and extra info: from bottom of sheath to centre of the brass popper is 22.5cm the 1", 1.5" and 2" are Henry Taylor Diamic...the 1.25" is unknown brand...I've included this info to show that these sheaths fit a variety of different brands of chisel. the strap on each sheath secures each chisel approx. 21.5cm up from the cutting edge...each of the chisels in the picture have slightly different ''shoulders'' (forgive my terminology!) yet the straps secure each one fine. ***I ALSO MAKE SHEATHS FOR THE MORA CLIPPER, COMPANION, 510 AND WOODCARVERS AS WELL AS FOR THE GRANSFORS BRUKS SMALL FOREST AXE, BAHCO LAPLANDER 396 FOLDING SAW, KA-BAR USMC, VARIOUS BUSHCRAFT KNIVES AND MORE!....PLEASE BROWSE MY EBAY SHOP*** some previous customers...
