Japanese Glass Fishing Floats with Netting from Alaska We found these floats while beachcombing on the Pacific Coast of Alaska across from Kodiak Island. They are about four inches in diameter and include heavy rope netting. They are blue-ish green in color and include embossed markings, one with the number "4" and one with the number "5." The netting on float "5" is more yellow-ish and waxy, with a turquoise colored cord attached to the top, while the netting on float "4" is more worn and off-white in color. The glass on float number "5" appears frosted or worn in the sections between the rope netting. T is also a small section of float number "4" w the glass appears frosted or worn.
