SEVENTEEN BOUCHET ORIGINAL AGATEWARE THIMBLES LIMITED PRODUCTION AND HANDMADE Agateware, a17 th Century pottery technique, once favoured by Spode and byWedgwood, is produced by the random mingling of white clay stained with metal oxides which are then pressed into shape. It has been revived in Jersey, by Tony Bouchet, to produce unusual and beautiful thimbles. Due to the small size of the pottery there will never be a large volume of Agateware made. The random mingling of the coloured clay gives a lovely marbled effect and each and every thimble is slightly different. Each thimble is also hand decorated with six concentric rings of 22 carat gold. Used - as in been on display Various colours Approx size: 2.7 cm - 3.0 cm high x 2cm wide In good condition – some crazing on a couple of the thimbles WILL COMBINE POSTAGE
