A full set of 6 six 7" side / tea plates in white ironstone with the blue & green floral pattern border design. This bright and popular pattern was designed by Eve Midwinter in 1968. All 6 pieces have the black inked back stamp which says: * Roselle Midwinter Fine Tableware Staffordshire ENGLAND Two of them also have the words say: Shapes designed by the Marquis of Queensbury In excellent vintage condition, no cracks or chips or crazing. Just very minor surface marks from use. Please SEE ALL PHOTOS. Approx measurements: 7" diameter. MIDWINTER: was founded in 1910 in Burslam, Stoke on Trent, England and in the 1950s was one of the leading innovators in British tableware production with notable designers who worked for the pottery, including Jessie Tate and Terence Conran. They were taken over by J&G Meakin in 1968 but kept producing under the Midwinter name until the late 1970s.
