Up for auction from a local estate is this wonderful Seth Thomas Sheffield clock. It can be found on page 471 of Tran Duy Lys Seth thomas book. The adamantine finish is mahogany with black metal columns. On the ends are the really neat egyption lions heads. It is an 8 day clock, stikes the half hour on a bell, and the hour on a cathedral gong....beautiful loud sound! It has the 5 inch dial, 11" high and 18" wide. Movement runs good and is clean with no repairs or damage. Condition is all original. Nicely aged dial, nice label on back. Adamantine is great, small defect on front inner corner, discoloration? and on the top back, corners, not really noticable and does not detract from the overall looks. Movement is great; clean with no repairs. Runs good, may need adjusting after shipping. Clean shiny finish, will look fantastic on that mantle. Starts at 99 cents.
