SETH THOMAS MANTEL CLOCK WITH WESTMINSTER CHIMES, Circa 1900. Time and strike spring driven brass movement, No. 113A three-train movementstamped "Seth Thomas" "Thomaston, CONN." "Made in U.S.A."; with fivechime rods and hammers for melody of five different permutations of four pitches (each unique for quarter hour strike), the remaining fifth pitch to denote the hour; full face brass arched dial with pierced overlay of intricate foliate design, silvered chapter ring with Arabic hour markers and two silvered subsidiary dials, one on upper left"Slow-Fast" and on upper right, "Chime-Silent"; center dial continues the cutwork overlay motif; "Seth Thomas" stamped above the hour "6"; mahogany Gothic peaked case - 14 1/2 in. high.
