Seth Thomas Regulator # 1 in Mahogany. The dimensions for this clock are, 16 inch diameter bezel, 12 inch dial, and 34 inches tall. This is one of the Seth Thomas regulators that is a little hard to find. The movement is stamped 77B and Seth Thomas. The movement as the picture shows is clean and runs great and keeps good time. I believe the case was cleaned at one time, if it was, I did not do it. Mahogany finishes can get crunchy over time and the finish on this clock is beautiful, so that is how I made this conclusion. Glass is original and the proper color. The dial is original and in excellent condition. As the pictures show there are very small chips around some of the screw holes. Hands glass and labels are original. The only hurt I find is the crack in the bottom veneer. The weight cable must have broke at some point in time to cause this. You do not notice it when its on the wall I chose not to fix it, I just never noticed it while on the wall. This is a very nice example of this clock and you will be proud to own it. The last example I saw sell of this clock was sold at RO Schmitt's October 31, 2010 auction for $8000 plus the 15% premium. If you want to verify go to Oct 31, 2010 auction lot 587. Their clock was very close to mine except my dial is original. They have only had the opportunity to offer 2 others in 31 years. read more
