This very fine Seth Thomas ship clock is marked Made by Seth Thomas in the USA and reads Seven Jeweled Eight Day Ships Clock. It has a feature to adjust fast and slow running. The metal door has a screw to close securely. The clock appears all original and is in good running condition. We would date to the clock to the 30's or 40's but are not certain. Any assistance with dating the clock is greatly appreciated. The clock is mounted in a beautiful wooden mount to sit on a mantle. We suspect this was made after the clock was produced as these ships clocks were designed to hang. THis is a beautiful clock with a charming chime on the hour and 1/2 hour. It is the kind of piece that any collector of fine clocks would be happy to add to their collection.
