You are bidding a circa 1900 Seth Thomas walnut 24in high octagon shortdrop wall time clock from AT&SF Ry Chanute, Kansas depot. This beatiful restored oak clock once hung in the depot.before 1972, possibly around 1968 when some other items were sold. Lester Lawrence, Chanute Santa Fe trainmaster took the time clock out of the depot, when it was shut down, according to local historian Charles Sesher. Santa Fe sent two men down to move the clock for Lawrence. I'm possibly the third owner since purchased from a Santa Fe collector in 1999. With 'Santa Fe' printed across its face, there's a stamping AT&SFE inside the base, along with a sticker I couldn't decipher. I had it packed ever since I moved a month later. This incredible genuine historical time clock still keeps perfect time.Standard AT&SF dial. It is my intention to give this clock a good loving home because I now live in a retirement home. You will get a clipping of Chanute Tribune newspaper telling about this clock. See pictures. Selling as is, no returns, and it will be well packed for shipment. UPS shipping is $35. Shipping info above is incorrect, does not show United Parcel Service. Large well packed 16x16x26in box. Continental bidders only.
