This stack of five painted Shaker boxes is hand made in my home shop of native Ohio poplar. I follow traditional Shaker methods when I make these boxes. The sides and top bands are joined with hand cut swallow tails secured by copper tacks. The lids and bottoms are attached with tiny wooden pegs. The boxes are finished with a wash coat of Old Fashioned Milk Paint in Lexington Green, Buttermilk, Salem Red, Marigold, and Federal Blue. Then the boxes are coated with a coat of linseed oil which darkens and enriches the colors. The sizes are 3"x5"x1.5", 4"x6"x2", 5"x7"x2.5", 6"x8"x3", and 7"x9"x3.5". The winning bidder will pay for shipping. Shipping weight 4 lbs. I will ship as soon as your payment is complete.
