Offered in todays Auction is this wonderful victorian Mantle Clock. It features a large seated figure who looks like Shakespear. He is surrounded by Books and a Pallet on top of the Clock. The figure is probably made of Spelter. I believe the clock part and the feet are Bronze. T is Black, Red and Green Marble or Slate on the base. This Clock is very impressive in both its size and quality. The glass parts that cover the face and back are both beveled, and open freely. We do not have a key or pendulum so the clock is in unknown working order. It is signed on the front HB Stanwood & Co. The Clock is in great condition with no chips or cracks to the Marble. t is a small chip on the face by the 4 pm sign w the key goes. The clock measures 20" wide, is 7" deep, and 15" tall. Buyer pays S&H. We must receive payment within 10 business days to complete all transactions.
