Disston Jackson No.1 RESTO-SAW Beach handle sunken-nut Medallion14 inch 12 points per inch Carcase SawFiled Cross Cut 15º rake 25º fleamplate measures 14 X 3.25Circa 1876-77 Jackson was a secondary line of Disston that featured Beach handles and a slight more english style. It’s true they tended to cost less then the regular Disston line however the quality over all is still higher then most. As with all my RESTO-SAWS it features a NEW polished 14 inch1095 Spring Steel, hardness of Rc48-52. This along with the sunken nut hardware, original Beach wood handle, and “blued” back spine make for a fantastic looking and cutting saw. Easily rivaling anything currently being produced today. The original plate is included in sale and can be reinstalled at a later point with no damage to the saw.I have freshly, jointed, filed, set, and sharpened the newly installed plate. There are some tool box nicks and character dings but nothing that would detract from the look or use of the saw. Please look over the pictures and email with any questions. The back has been reblued and retains the clearly marked factory stamp: Warranted Jackson Cast-Steel. The nuts have been polished read more
