Just wanted to thank everyone for their support while my USMC hubby was in Iraq. He is home safely and after a short rest it is time get to work.... This auction is for a RARE Shawnee Pottery cookie jar. This Smiley the Pig jar features gold trim and floral decals. It can be seen on page 327 of my 1997 Supnick's guide with a value to $700. It is marked USA and measures 11 1/4" tall. He is in great condition with his only flaw being a very tight 1/2" hairline on the back side of the rim of the base. It is very minor. Do not let this scare you off of this jar. He is great and is very clean inside and out! T are no other chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. Please excuse the white spots, it is just flash glare. Please see other auctions by the same seller for more special pieces. As always, your money back if you are not completely satisfied, you will be thrilled, I promise!
