This is a GOLD SHAWNEE SMILEY PIG PITCHER in perfect condition. There is no crazing, cracks, or chips. There is a very small pimple on the nose, but this is common on all Shawnee pottery (does not show in photos and barely noticeable in person). The Shawnee GOLD items were seconds or over-runs and this had to be an over-run . The pig is approximately 8 inches high; 6 1/2 inches wide; and 8 inches long.The colors are bright and full. There is almost no gold wear. All painting is under glaze and the artist did a fantastic job. My pictures do not do the item justice. The bottom is marked "PATENTED Smiley USA".This came from the estate of a long-time Shawnee collector and he indicated it was the best he had ever seen. We will be posting many other Shawnee items from this estate in the near future. - check our feedback! Item may be returned within 30 days in same condition for refund less all shipping costs.
