SHAEFFER'S "BALANCE" **MILITARY** ----5---- WITH GOLD FILLED CLIP AND TRIM Up for auction is this very beautiful Sheaffer "Balance" *Military*, Feather Touch, 5, -500-, fountain pen. This pen is in very good condition. Made in USA. In a nice glossy Jet Black finish. The cap has a Gold filled military wrap atop of cap pocket clip, and with a Gold filled band. There is an excellent imprint on the fountain pen barrel that says, W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co. Fort Madison, Iowa, U.S.A. Patented In The U.S.A. 500. The barrel is ribbed for ink viewing, very nice. There are no chips, teeth marks, just just normal vintage wear. The Gold nib reads, Sheaffer's, Feather Touch, Made In U.S.A. 5. This pen measures about 5 1/8" capped and about 6" posted. This pen is a vac-fil filling pen, it will need to be restored. Nib writes well. This very attractive, elegant, Sheaffer's "Balance" *Military*, Feather Touch, 5, -500-, Jet Black Finish, Ribbed Barrel, Fountain Pen would be a great pen for your collection or use. As is.
