US Sheet MNH Scott # 2089 honoring the great American Indian athlete Jim Thorpe. T here are 50 .20 cent stamps. Face value is $10.00 Over the next several days I will be listing over 300 excellent sheets and will include mint sheets from the 1920's, 30's and 40's - many Famous American issues including the 893 Alexander G Bell, 881 Victor Hubert, 873 Booker T Washington, 872 Frances Willard, 863 Samuel Clemens, and 862 Lousia Alcott. Earlier sheets include National Parks 744 Yellowstone, 772 Mt Ranier, 771 Grand Canyon, 770 Yosemite as well as sheets 733 Byrd, 717 Arbor Day, 716 Olympic Games, 703 Yorktown, 690 Pulaski, 651 George Clark and 653 Natan Hale. Twenty-eight Air Mail issues are also being offered including the C95-96 Wiley Post and wonderful copies of the C29 C30 and C31 Transport issues. Other surprises include many USED issues including the 695 American Indian and excellent used copies of Postage Dues J80, J82, J84 and the very scarce 50 cent J86. These used sheets are seldon offered on Ebay. They were cancelled by the Post Office back in the 1950's and used at the request of a philatelic society.
