Sheffield-Cut Throat Straight Razor-*Shave Ready* The Straight Razor Guy Thanks for taking a look at this fine old M.J. Higgins, Sheffield straight razor that was made in England in the 1800's. It's in nice clean condition and is 100% original with a nice wide blade, barbers notch and a full wedge grind. It has a nice curve to the blade edge and a corresponding sway to the blade back which makes for nice safe shaves making it perfect for the beginner. I say that because wedge blades are stiffer and less likely to nick your face while you are learning the 'angles' and the slight curve makes it much less likely for either end of the blade to catch you because they are swept out of the way causing you to use more of the middle of the blade. This one also displays well if you have no interest in shaving with an old 'face scrapper' but do enjoy collecting them. Please read the condition specifics below, see the photos above and contact me with any questions prior to bidding. I recommend checking out my other items as I normally have many very nice straight razors being offered at one time. Item condition specifics : Blade -The blade of this razor is over 6/8th's inches wide and the grind is full wedge. It has a clean finish with no rust, oxidation, chips or cracks.
