Shelby 1937 Special Airflow Motorbike. This 26 inch bike has original paint and parts ( except pedals and tires) and sports the Shelby Eagle headbadge. This bike was picked out of a local estate by a flea marketeer and I picked it up at a local flea market from him. The fleamarketeer had painted the wheels and put late model tires on it otherwise it was untouched. The factory paint inside the fork reveals a bright gold paint with red accents. It appears this bike was factory painted red with gold over the top. How progressive for Shelby to be painting a Candy red/gold in the 1930's! This must have been one flashy bike going down the road when it was new! The fenders, their braces and chain guard are remarkably straightand in great condition. The gold color has oxidized over time and looks more dull but the red looks great as does the white pinstriping. All the chrome is toasted but I wanted to keep this original bike all together. That is also why I left the wheels alone. The Morrow hub slips a little when riding it but I have never owned a Morrow hub that worked very well. (again; I wanted this bike to stay together with all of it's original parts.) The extra long seat post fits like a dream and is a good indication of the quality of Shelby bikes.
