Shell Inlay Lacquered Decorative Screen Saigon Vietnam Dimensions: 10" high by 17" wide (desktop-size) Item Weight: about 1 lb Shipping weight: 2 lb 6 Women Depicted in exotic Vietnamese and Asian garb with vibrant shades of Blue (shell, see below), Red and Gold on one side of screen. Flip side of screen is a traditional Asian influence landscape, complete with boats, lake, swaying trees and huts painted in muted shades of Green, Red and Gold. (see photo 3) Unusual Combination of Art mediums--Shell and lacquer on wood. Shell inlay (appears to be paua or abalone shells) used to decorate 4 of the women's dresses, each one in a different pattern. Condition: Screen is used/ has been on display at my mother's home. Screen is in very good condition; no damage on the women's side; one small dent and scratch on one of the panels on the landscape side. Screen was purchased at an Art Bazaar in Saigon, Vietnam in 2000. Many items from our collection were acquired by our mother during her world travels,and have been lovingly cared for in a pet-free and smoke-free home.We have packed each item with great care and will ship within one day of payment.
