Shelley's Queen Anne shape, discontinued in 1933, if memory serves (and what possessed them to discontinue it?), has got to be one of the most elegant of any ever created. The paneled pieces lend themselves to a marvelous range of patterns-- but there's no pattern here, just the bare, pure, exquisite Queen Anne shape. White Queen Anne makes a beautiful display just as it is, or can be used to create your own ultimate QA pattern-- your call. All these cup and saucer duos are in nice condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing. There are just the usual scattered factory 'fleabites' overall, with very faint utensil marks to the saucers. One saucer has about a 1 inch scratch that's more perceptible, though really none of these marks are particularly noticeable. All the the cups 'ping' clearly. This lot is one I have with me rather than stored at my mother's like the others, so I can ship more quickly. I didn't start collecting Shelley Queen Anne as an investment; I just can't help but love the stuff! But periodically I put some up on eBay, so someone will be very happy with these beautiful duos. I'll be listing more Queen Anne shortly. I also have an enormous platter in this pattern, but it's stashed with a friend in England and it will take a while to get it over to this side of the pond.
