Tonight I'm happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Sherman, Vintage, Late 1950's - Teal and Aquamarine Color - Round and Marquise Shaped Crystals - 1,75" Tiered Crescent Brooch. VERY RARE DESIGN & COLOR COMBINATION! - MINT CONDITION! - NO RESERVE! These graceful and elegant brooch dates from the late 1950's, made by the well known Canadian firm of "Sherman" designed as a medium sized 1.75" by 1.75" tiered crescent shape layered and stacked for a 3-D effect. The brooch is done in a series of dazzling and intense teal and aquamarine colored round and marquise shaped crystals set in a rhodium plated setting. The brooch is in mint condition showing only normal use all the original stones, none missing or replaced with no loss to the finish or plating. The brooch is marked on the back, Sherman on a small silver square. SHERMAN Sherman was a Canadian costume jewelry company that produced very high-quality pieces. Colorful or clear prong-set rhinestones or cut crystal beads (sometimes with an aurora borealis finish) adorn most Sherman pieces; the metal is rhodium-plated or gold-plated.
