Rainbow hematite is the trade name given foliated specular hematite which comes from a mine near Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, Rainbow Hematite is a gorgeous variety of Hematite with sparkling iridescent colors, It was a one time find and is no longer being found. They are very bright and beautiful and work great for Jewelry, However they are very fragil and need a backing to make into Jewelry. They are Gem grade, flat shaped with colors on both sides.
