Shiny red, US made Bulova model 620, 6 transistor horizontal 'coat pocket' radio. BRAND: Bulova MODELNR.: model 620 MFG.DATE: 1957 MANUFACTURER: Bulova , USA This is a shiny red, clean example of Bulova's first transistor radio: model 620. This one is in very good to excellent cosmetical condition without any chip, cracks, repairs or other serious flaws. The red plastic cabinet is very clean and has a 'factory new' gloss with only some surface scratches. Also the brass tuning knob and handle are excellent. This model originally operates on a large type 9 volt battery, which is probably not available anymore, but a standard 9 volt battery also fits. This example tunes in a couple of stations but very distorted. The volume stays at one level, although the volume wheel turns freely. It's a near perfect example to display in any radio collection.
