I love finding unique Ships-in-a-Bottle and this one is no exception. This was a souvenir (possibly a fund raiser) , of the South Street Seaport ship PIONEER. Inside is the legendary two masted ship proudly flying the American flag while underway on the deep blue sea. The bottle is 5" by 3 1/2" tall and sits on a wooden stand with a brass banner with the ship's name PIONEER. Note: the brass is clean and the lettering fine- the flash washed out the "R". Rope work on the neck in addition to a wax seal. Excellent condition. When you drive up the FDR in New York City, you will past the Pioneer and other impressive ships in the South Street Seaport's collection. NO RESERVE. Buyer will pay 2 pounds shipping. Immediate shipping after receipt of payment. Enjoy! Here is some more info on THE PIONEER Pioneer was built in Marcus Hook , Pennsylvania in 1885 as a cargo sloop .
