Up for auction is a ship speedometer. The previous owner told me it was towed behind boats to help measure speed. That is really all I know about it, and I am very sorry if it is something totally different! There are several photos showing it's condition. One photo shows the metal rubbed and it is just a surface rub. It weighs two pounds. It looks like brass, but it could be brass over another metal (not iron). The measurements are 14" long; and 4 1/2" wide. The bottom is 2" dia, has a threaded center hole and a weld mark. Each propeller is stamped with an anchor symbol followed by "T.W. NEPTUNE" Buyer pays shipping. If the winning bidder wants flat rate, it fits well in a USPS medium flat rate box ($10.95). Thanks for looking!
