Beautiful detailed bust of Shiva (Hindu god of destruction) and Parvati his wife (or Shakti, or Sati). Look at the detail work on Shiva. The cobra on Shiva's ear shows he is beyond death and note the tiny face on the forehead. I only posted one photo of Parvati, although she is beautiful she, doesn't have the detailed work of Shiva. Shiva measures approximately 6" in height, profile 5" and the base is 3/1/4", and Parvati 4 3/4" in height, profile 4", and base 2 1/4". I bought these in India in the early 1990s. They are also heavy with Shiva weighing about 4 1/2 pounds.
