SIGMA KLIBAN CAT PLAYING THE GUITAR TREAT JAR #A862. Kliban Cat playing the guitar on top of the treat jar. The Jar is about 10" tall. Made out of Ceramic. The bottom is marked Sigma and Tastesetter designed by B Kliban. Does have a sticker on the bottom. No Cracks or Hairlines. It does have chip and one of them is on the bottom inside lip. When the lids on you cannot see it. One chip on the bottom w the tail connects and someone black it out to. The lid has chips. Rough spots on both tips of the ear and looks like someone blacked it in and also a few around the rim of the lid. Also you can see the red has came off all the way around the jar. I took pictures of them. Made in Japan. This is a welcome addition to any Kliban Cat or Treat Jar Collector. The overwhelming majority of the vintage pottery that we sell was manufactured in the early 1900s through 1950. Please realize that all of these ceramic and vintage handmade pottery items were not "perfect" as we would expect them to be. The term Mint in the Box, to us, means: no damage after the manufacture of the item and the piece is as it left the factory. So please realize that t may be an unglazed area, a fired glaze drip, variations in the color of the glaze, mold defects and/or factory imperfections (glaze bubble or an extra small piece of clay fired under the glaze). This will not only be seen in the vintage handmade items, but occasionally, t will be imperfections in the newer ceramic of today. We will try to describe to the best of our ability any of these imperfections that we see and to photograph them for you. I believe that a picture is worth a "Thousand Words", so please look at all of the photographs very carefully before bidding. I may not have described the damage in detail, but I try to photograph it all with a quarter adjacent or pictures to the damage.
