This antique bagpipe chanter i think dates to around 1880 and 1900, it is made of ebony with the flat end being made of a substance similar to cow bone that has nice grain and colour, the chanter has nice colour and patina with age, there is an impressed makers mark which is a little worn but think says R Gilophie Glasgow or similar, 10 inches long , there is a little wear and tear with age and use but no major damage just a very small and minor hairline crack in the ebony near the reed
