ACKERMAN Famous Monster of Filmland Collectors Edition Book; great conditionThis is an original 8-3/8 x 11 inch, 152 page with the introduction by Vincent Price, preface by Sam Sherman, 'The Birth of a Notion '. It is a chronicle of the first fifty issues of the world's most famous and fabulous monster film magazine, collected for three decades, all by Forrest J. Ackerman. Included are over one hundred and fifty photos, a grand-new graveyard examiner, You Axed for i t, alumni section of fans who have turned pros, a fond look back at Captain Company, cover reproductions, a new view of the Ackermuseum, and much mo re.The exciting thing is the magazine is signed by Forrest J. Ackerman in his very later years and a photo of his signing is included. So, not only is this a rare unread book, it is also signed by the man responsible for the writing of it. The only flaw is on the bottom of the cover at the word "Edition" a small po rtion has ripped , probably stuck to another book, and on the top back cover, a small coffee [or soda] spill that affects the left top rear few pages.
