This is a rare signed 1st printing of the fourth volume of Han Suyin’s autobiography and her telling of the history of China between 1949 and 1979 through Red China's revolution, a stated “First American Edition”, first printing per publisher convention, of “My House Has Two Doors” (NY, G P Putnam, 1980) by Han Suyin SIGNED by her on the half title page and inscribed “to Lynn __ “With affectionate regards” Han Suyin” and dated by her “June 1982”. Lynn __ is another author according to the WEB. On the page after half title - “Books by Han Suyin” – there is also a four line notation apparently in the author’s hand regarding the book list being incomplete –“only books by Putnam being listed”. The book is in very good + condition – corners are mildly bumped and rear board shows minor rubbing in a few spots. The interior is spotless – no errant marks save penciled statement of “1st Ed signed - $150.00” at corner of FFEP and, of course the author’s inscription and note, per above. The price intact dust jacket, in brodart, is in very good + condition with tiny chips at three of the four corners and very miniscule wear at heel.
