For sale here is a 19th century figure painting oil on canvas adhered to wood board. Depicting a fishmonger. Signed lower left John S. Sargent. A front plaque on the frame is also attributing it to the iconic American painter. Please look at this image of Clementina, for a similar work : /Clementina-Austruther-Thompson-(sketch)-large.html Please note that the pictures were taken with and with out flash so a color variation is to be expected. The painting is an estate find & more research is needed in order to authenticate it. I am selling this painting with out a reserve! Size - 8.25 by 13 inches board/ 14 by 19 framed in gilt wood.
