The original frame is gold and measures 18.75 x 14.75 inches. A biography of the artist and the certificate of authenticity by The Collectors Guild Ltd. is affixed to the back of the frame.Jean Jansem (Armenian-born French Painter, 1920-2013)Jean Jansem is a well-known Armenia born, French artist best known for his figurative style renderings. Jansem's love of the natural female form is beautifully represented in this sensitive rendering of a young woman, lost in thought. Jansem most frequently depicted the figures of women - either lost in thought or engaged in graceful activity. .His work is exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the world.This lithograph circa 1965, entitled "En Repose", depicts a slender solitary female sitting with legs tucked under her and both hands in her long hair.
