RARE Signed PETER MAX Poster Randee of the Redwoods MTVThis is a fantastic and rare collector's item dating from a presidential campaign over 20 years ago: The Washington Post , September 28th, 1988: "I'm not running for president," declared MTV presidential candidate Randee of the Redwoods at the Birchmere Sunday night. "I'm just running and the presidency is in the way." Dimensions: 24 1/4" x 36" This is an original high-quality heavy stock poster from 1988 for MTV's faux "Randee of the Redwoods for President" campaign, signed by both Peter Max, who designed the poster for MTV, and the actor who played the iconic "Randee of the Redwoods" character. Not many of these were made, and fewer still were actually signed. A vibrant, ready-to-frame pop art poster art from MTVs early days, kept safe for 20 years. The top right corner has a tiny bit of damage. It was cut with a razor blade when unpacking and about a 1/16 of an inch right at the corner was cut off. Great for Peter Max fans, pop art enthusiasts, retro TV culture enthusiasts, and, of course, the politically savvy. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, and thanks for looking!
